Fanning myself with the “Alice’s Day” brochure

Yes, it is already hotter than I’d prefer, thank you very much. Global climate change is obvious at home since I know the weather patterns well but I somehow thought and hoped things wouldn’t be different here. Wet, cool, grey skies. I didn’t even bring sunscreen because I’ve hardly needed it before. I’m sure there’s a Boots the Chemist somewhere on the High Street if I decide I’m too pale for an English summer.

Bah humbug.

But it is beautiful here–and I’m not in the city center but off in the dorms area for Oxford. I’ll make some photos today and post them here and on my Facebook page tonight. I’ve been very conscious of not getting too messy and settled–I’m getting the train out of here in the morning.
